Another Step into internationalization

DIRO socializes with the US-network CLLA Leipsic/Hamburg–November 16th, 2007. The lawyers network DIRO still focuses on internationalization: In the course of its this years fall members meeting, the Managing Directors of DIRO stated this weekend in Leipzig that, henceforth, the cooperation with the leading Commercial Law League of America (CLLA), which is mainly present in the USA, will be enforced.
More Additional six law offices strengthen the network DIRO

Within the scope of this years spring conference in Barcelona, DIRO was able to strengthen its membership with six law offices, situated in Berlin, Hannover, Innsbruck, Luxemburg, Ljubljana and Riga. Now, therewith more than 1100 lawyers are organised within the network DIRO. For the last years DIRO was able to expand - espcially on the international level - and has increased its total number of international members law offices about one third.
More The DIRO-organisation spreads in Europe

With the admission of new member law firms in Brussels, Sofia, Lisbon and Leipzig the DIRO-organisation is expected to reach the highest number of members up to now on the occasion of this year’s autumn meeting in Cardiff. In this way 111 associated law firms with about 1,000 people involved will be part of the DIRO-network.

More The Judiciary opens up to Mediation

An event recently sponsored by the Munich Regional Court (Landgericht Muenchen) on the options for solving conflicts by mediation has met with major interest. Mrs. Constanze Angerer, President of Munich Regional Court 1, invited DIRO Managing Director, Anton G. Schmid, and Prof. Dr. Horst Eidenmueller, among others, to speak before over 100 judges and lawyers. Dr. Horst Eidenmüller is responsible for DIRO’s Business Mediator Training Program. The results of the event showed that possibilities are far from exhausted for courts to solve conflicts by enlisting the services of mediators.
More Export-Seminar in cooperation with the IHK Cologne

Within the bounds of its project "Exportieren in Europa" DIRO was given the opportunity to hold an all-day seminar relating to the elementary questions with respect to the distribution of goods as well as openings branches in France, Great Britain as well as Italy. The event took place on July 23rd, 2003, and was organised in cooperation with the IHK Cologne.

At the 10th commemorative anniversary in Berlin, celebrating the founding of “DIRO A European Organization of Attorneys EWIV” on 22 November 2002, executive management dropped a bombshell in terms of professional etiquette. It announced the setting up of the DIRAG Lawyers plc that is to overturn the current ban on establishing cluster law firms.
More 10 Years DIRO

This year’s DIRO autumn conference from 21 - 23.11.2002 will be dedicated to the celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the organisation of lawyers. On this occasion the particular topic of the event will be the development of the lawyer’s market place in the last ten years and the resulting future prospects. In particular, the expected changes in professional conduct will be discussed in the seminar to be given by Professor Dr Lutz Michalski, Chair of Private Law, Commercial Law, Company Law and Business Law at the University in Bayreuth.

Due to its great popularity, DIRO is once again offering economic mediation training sessions at the end of this year with the added benefit that non-members may participate. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants gave rise to the idea that the training, led by Professor Dr Eidenmüller, should be offered also outwith the DIRO network.

In the course of the spring meeting of DIRO in Cologne, the appointments of the man-agers Jürgen Hoge (Hamburg), lawyer, Karl-Heinz Lauser (Bologna), lawyer, and Anton G. Schmid (Regensburg), lawyer, were confirmed until the end of 2004. From April 17 through April 21, 2002, almost 100 DIRO shareholders discussed the results of the projects initiated in the last year as well as the future goals of DIRO in Cologne.

Now the bill which will go into effect on January 1, 2002 has been written. Prof. Dr. (hon.) Dieter Medicus, one of the essential experts participating in the project, discussed the effects of the reform with DIRO members at their partners' meeting which took place from 16-18 May in Murcia, Spain... The network of DIRO law firms and its members visiting Fulda Hamburg, 17th of October 2000. Fulda will become a meeting point for legal trendsetters.
